Indian Ocean Tourism Organization, United Nations Tourism (UN Tourism), Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) & United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) would convene with Indian Ocean Tourism Ministers sharing their vision addressing sustainability and climate-change challenges and how the enormous tourism potential within the Indian Ocean archipelago would drive economic, environmental, human and social developments, as well as facilitate unprecedented opportunities for all within the region.

This SIDS Tourism Financing Instruments session sets the precedent pioneering a vision for SIDS developing a tourism-blueprint bringing new and fresh perspectives into the Industry aiding communities through blue/circular economy, development of the creative industry, building ethnic & indigenous economy, infrastructure development, facilitating employment-opportunities, improving education, accelerating social entrepreneurship, advocating sustainable economic development-practices with intent creating tangible ideas, innovations and solutions, accompanied with financing options strategically positioning SIDS in various capacities where the intent remains aiding economic, environmental, human & social developments across SIDS.

Indian Ocean Youth Camp

Marshaling of existing forces for social improvement arising from the younger generation, and mobilization of their aspirations, creativity and ideas, empowering young people becoming actors, not spectators, driving social innovation and change, making an impact advocating economic, environmental, human and social developments with the aim to eradicate poverty, sustaining livelihoods of impoverished communities through educational-reforms and employment-opportunities, therein fostering an inclusive culture shaping their own hopes and visions for a better future remains the ethical propensity pioneering a youth movement across the Indian Ocean archipelago and selective destinations.

Advocating awareness of climate change, environmental issues and development of intellectual capacities for sustainable economic-models for the future, while building relationships, transforming conventional practices, developing a forward-thinking generation and proactive attitudes, and at the same time simultaneously accelerating creativity, innovation and imagination making profound differences becoming catalyst’s for change, a global movement in the finest sense must emerge, and we remain pivotal curating Youth Camps across specific Indian Ocean archipelago and selective destinations.

Launched in mid-2027, 3 Youth Camps are planned every year.
